Life as it happened…

So, virtual dates…

My Queen, my better half, my treasure, my Priyé. So, we have been doing errands on and off. We watch movies together, and we share laughs, but wait, we are doing all of this remotely. No, don’t get me wrong, we are way past our pandemic, and hopefully, it will stay that way. As a ritual, a Mumbai boy is now in Chicago and pursuing higher education in the realm of sciences. As with all scientists and engineers, my first love is My Queen.

Yes, I know. I won’t be revealing the name just yet. I have been on a hiatus. But writing had me calling. My fiancé, albeit motivated, to stop slacking off and pursue a diary. I am a man of theatrics. I like having an audience, so here I am. Back in my warm fireplace (meta). So, last night, for our virtual date, we locked in on this gem of a flick, Ferris Bueler’s Day Off. The movie belongs in my heart. This excellent piece by John Hughes is one of the most comforting movies to escape the hullabaloo that is life. Quoting Matthew Broderick from this movie, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” Life is bliss when we appreciate every moment. Most of my moments with my Queen are virtual. These are like those shiny specks which we will cherish all our lives. Plus, we will giggle about my lunacies, like dancing and singing choruses.
